What is God's will for us?

What is God's will for us?

Daniel Justice

How can the posture of our heart reflect Christ?
Philippians 2:3-4: "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others."
A humble heart recognizes its need for God and acknowledges human limitations and sinfulness.
Matthew 5:8: "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God."
Purity of heart involves sincerity, integrity, and freedom from hypocrisy or mixed motives.
Psalm 51:17: "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise."
A repentant heart is one that turns away from sin and towards God, seeking forgiveness and renewal.
Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."
Trust in God's wisdom over one's own understanding reflects a heart reliant on divine guidance.
Mark 12:30: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength."
Love for God and for others should be central, encompassing all aspects of one's being.
Nehemiah 8:10: "The joy of the Lord is your strength."
A heart filled with joy in the Lord provides strength and resilience against life's challenges.
Deuteronomy 30:10: "If you obey the Lord your God and keep his commands and decrees that are written in this Book of the Law and turn to the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul."
Obedience to God's commands reflects a heart committed to following His will.
Philippians 4:7: "And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
A heart at peace, despite circumstances, trusts in God's sovereignty and care.
