FBI Epstein files: an anti-release

The Non-Release of the Epstein Files: A Broken Promise
During his campaign, Trump repeatedly vowed to expose hidden truths, including those related to Epstein, a financier and convicted sex offender who died in 2019 under suspicious circumstances. In 2025, Attorney General Pam Bondi initially suggested that the release of the Epstein files was imminent, with documents reportedly on her desk for review. However, a July 2025 memo from the DOJ and FBI, as reported by Axios, stated that no "client list" exists, no evidence of blackmail was found, and no further charges would be pursued against third parties. This abrupt closure of the case has sparked widespread skepticism, with critics like conservative activist Robby Starbuck and even Elon Musk—who previously claimed Trump’s name appeared in the files—expressing outrage over the lack of transparency.
The decision to withhold the files, despite public demand and the existence of tens of thousands of documents and videos, raises questions about what the government is hiding. The DOJ’s claim that redactions are necessary to protect victims and ongoing investigations has been met with disbelief, especially given the scale of Epstein’s operation and the prominence of his associates, which included politicians, celebrities, and business moguls. While Trump’s supporters argue he is being unfairly targeted, the refusal to release these documents under his administration’s watch places him at the center of an apparent effort to suppress the truth, regardless of his personal involvement in Epstein's crimes.
Robert Maxwell: Media Mogul, Alleged Spy, and Peramon Press
To understand the broader implications of the Epstein case, one must examine the role of Ghislaine Maxwell and her father, Robert Maxwell, a British media tycoon whose life and death are shrouded in mystery. Born Ján Ludvík Hyman Binyamin Hoch in 1923 in Czechoslovakia, Robert Maxwell reinvented himself after World War II, building a publishing empire that included Pergamon Press, founded in 1948. Pergamon Press became a major player in academic and scientific publishing, producing journals and textbooks used worldwide, including in the American public school system. The name "Pergamon" is derived from the ancient Greek city of Pergamum, referenced in the New Testament’s Book of Revelation (2:12–17) as the site of a church addressed by John, where Satan’s influence was said to reside. The choice of name may reflect Maxwell’s penchant for grandeur or a nod to historical significance, though some speculate deeper symbolic intent given his controversial legacy.
After Maxwell’s acquisition of Macmillan Publishing in 1988, his empire expanded into the U.S. market, giving him significant reach in shaping educational materials. Maxwell’s death in November 1991 added to his enigmatic reputation. Found dead in the Atlantic Ocean near the Canary Islands after falling from his yacht, the *Lady Ghislaine*, his death was officially ruled an accident, though theories of suicide or assassination persist. Spanish authorities found no evidence of foul play, but rumors of Maxwell’s ties to Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency have long circulated. Ari Ben-Menashe, a former Israeli intelligence officer, claimed in his book *Epstein: Dead Men Tell No Tales* that Maxwell was a Mossad agent who facilitated intelligence-gathering operations, including potential blackmail schemes. Maxwell’s lavish funeral in Jerusalem, attended by Israeli intelligence figures and then-Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir, lent credence to these allegations.
From Robert to Ghislaine: The Epstein Connection
Robert Maxwell’s daughter, Ghislaine Maxwell, inherited his knack for navigating elite circles. After his death, she moved to New York, where she became a socialite and Jeffrey Epstein’s close associate, and briefly his romantic partner. Ghislaine was convicted in 2021 of child sex trafficking for her role in recruiting and grooming underage girls for Epstein’s abuse, receiving a 20-year prison sentence. Court documents and victim testimonies, such as those from Virginia Giuffre, reveal that Ghislaine was instrumental in Epstein’s operation, targeting vulnerable girls and facilitating their exploitation at Epstein’s properties in New York, Florida, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
In his book, Ben-Menashe alleges that the duo operated a “honey-trap” scheme, using underage girls to entrap prominent figures for blackmail purposes. While these claims lack definitive proof, they align with Epstein’s documented connections to powerful individuals, including Bill Clinton, Prince Andrew, and Donald Trump, as well as reports of surveillance equipment and hard drives found at Epstein’s properties.
The Public School System and Broader Implications
The connection to the public school system, stems from Robert Maxwell’s publishing empire and its role in producing educational materials. Posts on X have claimed that Maxwell’s ownership of companies like Macmillan gave him outsized influence over U.S. textbooks, potentially allowing the insertion of narratives aligned with specific agendas. The idea that a Mossad-linked figure could influence both educational content and a blackmail ring targeting elites paints a chilling picture of systemic corruption.
While no direct evidence links Epstein’s blackmail operation to the public school system, the overlap of Maxwell’s publishing influence and Ghislaine’s role in Epstein’s crimes begs questions about a broader network of control. The non-release of the Epstein files only deepens this distrust, as it suggests that powerful figures—potentially including Trump—are protecting themselves or others from scrutiny. The DOJ’s refusal to disclose videos and documents, despite their existence, reinforces the perception that the truth is being buried to shield the guilty.
In these times of uncertainty, with unanswered questions surrounding the Epstein files and the actions of powerful figures, we Christians are called to anchor our hope solely in Jesus Christ. Political leaders, even those who claim to champion truth, and pastors, however well-intentioned, are fallible and cannot bear the weight of our faith. Only Jesus, the unchanging and eternal King, offers true certainty and salvation. Let us fix our eyes on Him, trusting in His perfect justice and grace to guide us through all of the storms of this world.
