Cheat Sheet: Witnessing to Muslims Key Beliefs:
• God: Allah, one and indivisible; no Trinity (Surah 112).
• Jesus: Prophet (Isa), not divine; no crucifixion (Surah 4:157).
• Salvation: Submission, good deeds, Five Pillars; no assurance.
• Scripture: Quran as final revelation; Bible corrupted.
• Afterlife: Paradise or hell (possibly temporary for Muslims).
Differences from Biblical Christianity:
• God: Triune, relational God (Matthew 28:19, 1 John 4:8).
• Jesus: Fully God and man; crucified and resurrected (John 1:1, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4).
• Salvation: By grace through faith in Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9).
• Scripture: Bible as sole authority (2 Timothy 3:16).
• Afterlife: Eternal heaven or hell (Matthew 25:46).
Witnessing Tips:
- Build Trust: Show hospitality; respect prayer, dietary laws.
- Focus on Jesus: Highlight divinity, crucifixion (John 14:6, 1 John 2:2).
- Ask Questions: “What does ‘Messiah’ mean in Surah 3:45?” or “How do you find assurance of paradise?”
- Clarify Misconceptions: Explain Trinity (one God, three persons); affirm crucifixion with 1 Corinthians 15:3-4.
- Be Sensitive: Avoid criticizing Muhammad; respect gender dynamics.
- Share Grace: Emphasize Christ’s sacrifice and assurance (Romans 5:8).
- Prayer: Pray for open hearts to see Jesus as Savior.
